Louisville, Kentucky
Fall 2020
As gun violence has increased along with COVID-19, I find myself wondering about the person who has passed away. Their deaths are forever tied to their last location. The constant blur of the street indicates that life continues to move on and the memories of these people will start to fade. In this work, I am exploring the people behind the gun violence epidemic of Louisville.

Between Being Hindu and American
Fall 2020
I find myself stuck between two cultures: Indian and American. Growing up, my mother would tell me stories about these Goddesses that were strong and beautiful. The colorful images from the children’s book, religious services, and even food represents the Indian culture to me. Attending schools, I’ve always been ashamed of the colors, my food, and so much more. The lack of traditions and an attempt of mixed cultures seems to be evident in society but with the underlying racial tensions is how I view America as. I’m confronting my Indian heritage while maintaining a privilege of an American.
