Behind the Lens

Amulya Priya, a graduate from Ithaca College with a BFA in Film, Photography, and Visual Arts, has passionately delved into the world of photography for over seven years. She is currently based in the Kentucky area.

Her unique artistic approach is a testament to her dedication to fostering confidence in others and amplifying their narratives through visual storytelling. Amulya believes in the healing power of art, utilizing her lens not just to capture moments but to provide a space for personal growth and introspection.

Beyond conventional photography, she also comes in front of the lens, exploring the realm of self-portraiture, and delving deeply into themes of identity. Her introspective self-portraits serve as a reflection of her exploration into personal and cultural facets, offering a powerful visual commentary.

Amulya's mission is rooted in creating an inclusive and empowering space where individuals from all walks of life can fearlessly share their stories. As a first-generation Indian American navigating a creative path in a family traditionally tied to medicine, she brings a unique perspective to her artistry.
